Well, well, well... it has been ages since I have sat down and actually posted, even though it crosses my mind numerous times every week and I am just too damn tired to actually do it! SO, now that the garden is in full swing, the produce is rolling in and the canning projects are beginning I thought it would be a good time to return. The last two years have been a whirlwind, I can't believe that a graduate program was started and completed and now I am moving on to the next phase of life...my career. I have somehow stayed somewhat sane in this process-doing this with kiddos is a whole different game-although my joy for cooking disappeared and trying to read any book right now makes me sick to my stomach! But I did it and now I am once again feeling as though I can enjoy the things that I love. My canning list is longer than it has even been and I can't wait to try some new jams and pickling recipes as well as share some amazing recipes and house and sewing projects. August is going to be a very busy month for me as I finalize my thesis for an online journal, finalize my syllabuses for classes I will be teaching starting this fall semester, get the kiddos off to school, sew thank you projects for some amazing people and get our house and garden ready for our neighborhood's historic home and garden tour. I hope to have plenty of recipes, pictures and stories to share. So stay tuned...
